About Us

Why We Start Invention?

We are hydrosol lover and purchased bottles of hydrosols a lot. After years of use, we found out not every bottle are good and not always make us comfortable besides their high costs. Making our own hydrosol can be a solution to keep them consistently good quality and lower our expenses. After studying the distillery products in the market, Leo figured out that either they are made by glass which makes them unreliable to be used at home especially with kids around, or they are expensive or oversized. As an engineer, Leo started design his own distiller.

Steam distillation is an extraction process which mainly includes steam, herb and condensation into liquid. These are corresponding to the three components: boiler, steamer and condenser. Leo hand made his first kettle distiller (KD) by using material available locally in 2017. It was not looking fancy but it does the trick. The first bottle of lavender hydrosol makes everybody happy in home.

After 6 months of design and test, Leo finalized the KD architect. SUS 304 stainless steel is selected due to its high anti-corrosion and easy to clean properties compared with copper. Because of its high chemical activity, copper is easily rusted and turns into greenish color so need more frequent cleaning and maintenance. For the same reasons, SUS 304 has been the most popular material to be used making kitchen wares and medical devices.

The KD has become very successful in the market including Amazon and Etsy where a lot of customers like it because of its super easy to use and taking little space. After KD, Leo designed the LT3000 which not only has larger volume for making higher quantity of products but also keep LETIME philosophy of easy to use and high efficiency.

LT3000 has features including:

  1. Left or right orientation to fit working environment;

  2. Large size condenser for ice cube cooling or water circulation;

  3. Twist and lock for easy operation and good sealing;

  4. Easy access inside for cleaning.

About Dr. Leo

Leo achieved his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering in 2008. He has strong knowledge in the fields of chemical engineering, stainless steel material, corrosion, water purification, disinfection in water, and new energy. He was working as research scientist at Brown University with focus on heavy metal contaminants removal from drinking water and developing direct carbon fuel cell. He has awarded 4 US and international patents and also solved a lot of technical problems reducing large amount of costs for products development.
