Step-by-step explaining how to make fresh hydrosol with KD5 hydrosol distiller
Instructions:
Step 1: Fill the pot with filtered water to the MAX lelvel.
Step 2: Put bottom sieve plate into steamer, add your favorite flower and herbs into the steamer, place the other sieve plate on top of the plant materials and then screw the lid on. (Sieve plates are IMPORTANT to keep your distiller work properly!)
Step 3: Screw the steamer on to the pot lid, screw it onto the pot and then place the pot on your heater, e.g. hot plate or fire bunner.
Step 4: Connect the metal tubing on steamer lid and condenser with included silicon rubber.
Step 5: Turn on heat and add ice cubes or cold water into condenser, then ready to collect your fresh made hydrosol!

*How much essential oil can be made? It depends on the oil content in the vegetation. With lavender as example, one batch can make about 2milliliter of oil. By continuously running multiple batches of distillation, oil yield can be multiplied. However, if you use very low oil content vegetation such as rose petals, oil won’t be able to be noticed.
